Message from Mariner Consulting Services LLC

Mariner Consulting Services was founded in early 2015. After working on a variety of vessels for 13 years, I took time off from the shipping world to raise my children, to serve our country and to help other mariners avoid licensing struggles. 


After 23 years in the Maritime Industry I have restructured my company, brought on additional experts to enhance our specialized support to Mariners and Maritime Companies for credential management. 


*We assist Mariners with their licensing renewals, upgrades, license originals, finding classes, keeping them updated on the latest changes, and more.  


*We offer credential management for Maritime companies to help ensure vessels stay staffed with fully qualified and valid credentialed Mariners.

Why Hire a Consultant

Merchant ​​Mariners hire licensing consultants for a variety of reasons.
 

In general, consultants help the Mariner prepare and compile applications and send them to the National Maritime Center. Coast Guard licensing forms and the procedures for licensing have become extremely cumbersome, detailed, and difficult to understand and/or complete properly.  The smallest mistake can hold up the Mariner’s application for weeks or months.
