We are pleased to announce a scholarship opportunity now offered by Mariner Consulting Services LLC. This scholarship is for a reduced service fee. It is open to Individuals/Mariners seeking their initial credentials only.
We are offering this to mariners seeking initial credentials only because, we would like to encourage new mariners to begin their careers with a path to success and the knowledge and guidance to succeed. We know from experience that until a mariner has credentials and experience working, finances can be difficult and the benefit of our consultation service may not be as apparent when money is tight.
You must be a US Citizen or an individual holding a Green card to qualify. We do not discriminate against race or any of your other natural or personal preferences, as they are none of our business.
If you have a disability which may prohibit you from working on a vessel, please note the USCG may not issue your credential. Not every condition is limiting, although some conditions will not be allowed by the USCG. Please reach out if you have any questions. I do know a lot of people with various limiting conditions who have wonderful careers aboard vessels.
Please fill out our scholarship form and attach the requested information and reply as requested at the end of the application.
Many years ago I began my professional Maritime career by attending classes at CCC MERTS.
Several years ago, I began my professional Maritime career by attending classes at CCC MERTS. The Maritime campus holds happy memories for me and I wanted to give back to the CCC foundation which helped me afford my education and multiple degrees I obtained through the Community College.
Starting in February of 2025 for each Mariner who signs up for our annual subscription package we will donate $25 to our scholarship fund. This fund will cover the cost of the AB course, Lifeboatman, and if there are enough funds we will cover as much of the additional costs associated with obtaining their MMC as possible, including: USCG fees, DOT drug testing fee, USCG Physical fee.
Our staff will handle their USCG application, submission and follow up, as-well-as career guidance and goal setting to ensure these new Mariners are on a focus and successful path for their future career growth, free of charge for one year.
100% of donations go to CCC Foundation Scholarship Program.
Donations are Welcome!
If you would like to donate or match our donation to the scholarship program see the "DONATE NOW" link below. Make sure to ear note what the funds are for.
